The IDF began massing forces on the border with the Gaza Strip late Wednesday night, in preparation for a retaliatory operation following the suicide bomb attack in Rishon Letzion which killed 15 people. 在里雄萊錫安殺死15人的自殺式炸彈襲擊發生後,以色列軍隊在星期三晚止於加沙邊境集結,準備反擊的軍事行動。

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who cut short his trip to the United States after hearing of the attack, arrived back in Israel Wednesday evening and immediately convened his extended security cabinet at Lod military airport.

The security cabinet gave the green light in the early hours of Thursday morning for operations against "terrorist targets."

A government statement gave no details of what operations had been approved but said the security cabinet had empowered Sharon and Defense Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer to decide what action to take.

Only Finance Minister Silvan Shalom raised the idea of exiling Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat, but the issue was not taken to a vote.

Earlier Wednesday, sources in Sharon's entourage to Washington said that U.S. President George Bush had agreed that peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians must wait until internal reforms within the PA have brought about a governing body that "would be headed by a different person or different people" than the current leader, Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat.

"It was clear that the chief [Arafat] must be moved to a different role within the PA, customarily to a symbolic position and the administrative responsibilities would be transferred to others," the sources said.

Sharon will not present the extended security cabinet with a proposal to expel Arafat. Instead, he is expected to adopt an American plan calling for structural changes that would ultimately sideline Arafat.

According to the sources, Bush and his advisors have proposed the establishment of a temporary government within the PA until a constitution is drawn up and elections are held.

The sources said that Bush also agreed that Israel would not hold talks with the PA until it has completed its internal reforms. The president did demand, however, that once the reforms have been carried out, the two sides must hold talks that would eventually lead to a final settlement.

American officials estimate that moderate Arab nations will support the U.S. proposal, but that Israel would have to sit on the sidelines and not get involved in order for the proposal to fully succeed.

The Americans understand that without these structural changes "there is no one to talk to within the PA and it is a waste of effort," the sources said.

See below report from Gershon Salomon and the Temple Mount Faithful in Jerusalem. Note that they are doing this on Ascension Day, May 9, the day Christ ascended, of which they may be totally unaware, even as most of the Protestant church is unaware of Ascension Day. May 10 is actually Jerusalem Day, which commemorates the capture of Jerusalem in 1967 (but it begins the evening of May 9).

Here is a transcript of the original recording of the Israeli Defense Forces entering the Old City of Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Wailing Wall during the Six Day War in June, 1967: "The Temple Mount is in our hands, the Temple Mount is in our hands. All forces cease firing! The time is 10:20, the 7th of June." 《聖殿山忠實》將會在200259日進入聖殿山!

The Commemoration Day for the Liberation of Jerusalem The Temple Mount Faithful will March from Ammunition Hill to the Temple Mount on 9th May, 2002

On the 9th May, 2002 The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement will march from Ammunition Hill in northern Jerusalem, through the Old City to the Temple Mount. This important march will commemorate the godly day of the liberation of the Temple Mount and Jerusalem from Arab occupation under the Jordanians.

This godly event of liberation occurred in June 1967 when the Arab enemies of Israel surrounded the State of Israel with Jordan on the East, Egypt on the South, Syria on the north together with the backing of the Arab countries, the Soviet Union and other countries of the world. We shall never forget the statements of the Arab leaders that the time of the destruction of the State of Israel had arrived and that very soon they would occupy Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa Be'er Sheva and all the land of Israel and that they would kill all the Israelis and rape their women. I personally heard it broadcast repeatedly on the radio. I knew in my spirit that in this war a major godly event would take place in the redemptional process of Israel.

In a dream which came to me a few days before the war started I saw myself standing before the location of the temple on the Temple Mount and I could see the rock of Abraham and Isaac. Then in the dream I saw flames coming from heaven to the rock with angels flying around it and many Israelis walking up to the Temple Mount, each one carrying stones with which they started to build the temple. At the same time they were praying Psalm 126: "A Song of Ascents. When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like men who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then they said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad. Bring back our captivity, O Lord, like the streams in the Negev. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who goes forth weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come back with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him."

When I awoke I was very excited and felt that in a short time God would return the Temple Mount and Jerusalem to His people. The atmosphere was one of war and on the 6th June the war broke out. In 6 days the God of Israel brought His people back to the most exciting Biblical parts of the land and, most importantly, to the Temple Mount. In an exciting godly event, the people of Israel again encountered the Temple Mount, the location of their First and Second Temples, the Old City of Jerusalem, the city of David, Judea, Samaria, Gaza, the Golan Heights and Sinai, the place where, more than 3300 years ago, the God of Israel gave the Torah to His people. God gave me the great personal privilege of being together with my unit on the Temple Mount on the day of its liberation. Together with all the people of Israel, I will never forget the moment when we stood before the rock of Abraham and Isaac inside the Dome of the Rock which the Arabs had built after they occupied the Temple Mount. We wept tears of joy and exactly as it is written in Psalm 126 felt that we were dreaming. Not only my dream was fulfilled but also the dream of the Israeli people and, I am sure, the dream of the God of Israel Himself.

A few years earlier, as a young officer in the Israeli army, I was severely wounded in a battle in the area of the Golan Heights when my small unit was ambushed by a very much larger Syrian force. The Syrians were trying to occupy one of the most important strategic areas of northern Israel. In an intense battle of almost 8 hours they were defeated by my small unit and again the story of David and Goliath became a reality on this field of battle. 2 of my men sacrifice d their lives in the battle and 5 were wounded. Almost at the end of battle I was wounded when a tank ran over me while I was involved in saving the life of one of my wounded soldiers on the edge of the battle. I lay almost dead with my body paralysed. It was the critical moment when I personally met the God of Israel and knew that if I would survive my life would change completely. What happened shortly after this confirmed it when hundreds of the Syrian soldiers dared to come down from the mountains to where I lay to take revenge and kill me. (The had placed me on their wanted list during the preceding year.) I will never forget the moment when they surrounded me loading their guns in preparation to shoot me. Then the God of Israel appeared with His angels and saved my life and instead of shooting me they suddenly turned around and ran back to the mountains. I felt the presence of God and His angels around me and in my heart I felt that He was saying the He had still not finished with me but that I would fulfil an important task for Him and for my people.

It was already night and completely dark and only the light of God lit my heart and spirit. I felt perhaps what Abraham felt when God made the covenant with him in the darkness at Alon Moreh. Later the soldiers of my unit returned with other Israeli forces and took me to the hospital. After 2 weeks of lying in a coma I regained consciusness and could immediately see and understand everything. Then another long 1-year battle started merely to survive and later to walk and to be ready to do what God would tell me to do. During this battle with its pains the observers of the UN who had seen the battle between my unit and the Syrians came to visit me. I was shocked but not surprised when they shared with me something that assisted me in my battle to survive. They told me that they had spoken with the Syrian officers and had asked them why they had not killed me when they surrounded me with this intention. They had answered that they had wanted to do so but could not because at the same moment they saw thousands of angles around me and all that they could do was to turn and run back to the mountains as fast as possible. They were sure that they were being followed.. I know that they were messengers of God to me and what they shared and what I had experience on the battle field has followed me all my life and will continue to do so in everything that I will do in the future. It gives me strength and encouragement and is a godly promise and covenant that my dream to rebuild the house of God will soon come to pass.

It was again confirmed in the great godly moment in the Six-Day War when I stood with the Israeli soldiers in the place which is the heart, soul and eternal focus of the Israeli nation with tears in our eyes again hearing the voice of God speaking to our hearts - "I brought you here to fulfil my dream and your dream." We felt the presence of God between us so strongly. We could even hear the words of God through His prophet Isaiah - "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.' (Isaiah2:2-5)

Major godly events have occurred in the more than 4000 years of relationship between the God and people of Israel but perhaps this was the most exciting of all of them. A new era began in the life of the people of Israel and a new stage commenced in the relationship between the God and people of Israel and in the redemptional process that we are now experiencing. The godly results of the Six-Day War and the return to the hill of God were not an accident. It was a major godly event in the exciting process of the redemption of Israel. God expected Israel to immediately rebuild His house and to fulfil His eternal commandment to His people - "And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them." (Exodus25:8) Unfortunately a sinful mistake by the Israeli Minister of defence, Moshe Dayan, temporarily change the march of the history of Israel towards the fulfilment of this moment. He recalled the Arab enemy which had run away from the Temple Mount and gave back the keys of the Temple Mount. In this way he delayed the fulfilment of this great dream but not for long. Nobody, not even sinful Israeli leaders can prevent the determination of God to bring this dream to pass in the life of this generation.

However, it was at this time that I founded The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement to make this dream of the God and people of Israel a reality in our lifetime and to fulfil my personal mission in life for which God saved my life and dedicated and anointed it for this purpose. We started our godly campaign and now, 35 years later, we know that it is very soon to come to pass ad that time is very short. I personally swore that I would never rest and that peace would never come to my spirit until the house of God is rebuilt and that all my life would be completely dedicated for God and this mission. The prayer of King David and his swearing to the same purpose constantly appears before my heart and my eyes. "A Song of Ascents. Lord, remember in David's favour all his afflictions; How he swore to the Lord, and vowed to the mighty God of Jacob; Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, nor get into my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids, Until I find out a place for the Lord, a habitation for the mighty One of Jacob. Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah; we found it in the fields of Jaar; We will go into his dwelling places; we will worship at his footstool. Arise, O Lord, and go to your resting place; you, and the ark of your might. Let your priests be clothed with righteousness; and let your pious ones shout for joy. For your servant David's sake do not turn away the face of your anointed. The Lord has sworn in truth to David; he will not turn from it; One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne. If your children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon your throne for evermore. For the Lord has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his habitation. This is my resting place for ever; here I will dwell; for I have desired it. I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread. I will also clothe her priests with salvation; and her pious ones shall shout aloud for joy. There I will make the horn of David bud; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed. His enemies I will clothe with shame; but upon himself his crown shall flourish.' (Psalm132)

On the 9th May 2002 at 10:00AM, The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement will march along the same route that the Israeli soldiers, the heroes of God, followed 35 years ago. Near the tank on Ammunition Hill which survives from the Six-Day War and in front of the monuments which bear the names of the soldiers who fell in this heroic godly war, we shall stand silently with great respect and deep thanks and pray for them and for the people of Israel at a very critical time in the history of this nation. We shall march with the Israeli flag and will carry with us the model of the temple as a clear message to the people of Israel and all the world. We shall march around the walls of Biblical Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

At the Jaffa Gate plaza we shall hold a major demonstration where we shall call on the Israeli Government and its Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, to immediately confirm the sovereignty of the God and people of Israel over the Temple Mount and all the land promised to Israel by the rebuilding of the house of God on the Temple Mount in the same location as that of the First and Second Temples and by the removing of the Arab enemies of Israel from the Temple Mount and the holy land which God gave to Israel. Until this expectation of God from Israel is met there will never be peace in Israel and all over the world.

From Jaffa Gate we shall march to the Temple Mount. The Temple Mount Faithful Movement is currently making every effort to convince Ariel Sharon to immediately open the Temple Mount to the marchers of the Temple Mount Faithful and to the people of Israel with no fear for the threats of the Arabs but with trust in God Who so clearly promised His protection to His people against all their enemies and even all the world. We hope that Ariel Sharon will listen to this and to the voice of God and do what God expects of him to do. Our prayers on the Temple Mount in front of the location of the temple will be the exciting climax of our march on the day commemorating the liberation of Jerusalem. This will be another important step in our campaign, struggle and battle for God, His house, His land, His people and for all the world but not the last one.

Everyone who is in Israel on this day is called on and invited to join us in this godly march to the Temple Mount of God.

In God we trust
